Heaven Did Send Hope

Hope’s story has always been full of twists and turns. She’s been a one-in-a-million, unique little lady-unicorn right from the start. I hope everyone reading this takes a deep breath with me now. Hope is not going to make it. She is in heart failure, and that has brought about multiple system organ failure complicated with infections and TMA. She is not a re-transplant candidate. John and I have had to come face to face with the hard truth that her body has taken her as far as it could, but her time here on Earth is drawing to a close.

Our hearts are shattering into a million pieces as we share this news. We’ve lived this journey as a story shared openly with the community of people who love and support Hope so we felt it only right to share this final piece of news, even though it’s devastating. We have a short time with her to hold her, snuggle her and just make sure she knows how much we all love her. If there’s a message you’d like us to whisper in her ear while we share these final hours, leave it here and we’ll pass it along. We want her to be wrapped in not just our love, but the love of all those that have lifted her and our family up over the last two and a half years.

Once we’ve moved to the next step, we will share more details around a time we can gather to celebrate this little shining life of Hope. We have one last video of her little babbling personality to help take the sting out of this news.

Heaven sent Hope; and now she calls her Home.

  2. Tess & Jon,
If heaven is half of what I think it is, Hope will be so happy and will never know anything harmful ever again! She could not have felt any more loved or cherished, because she was blessed with such wonderful parents. I will ask my daughter Nicole, to find Hope when she arrives home to Heaven and help watch over her and show her the ropes! My heart is with you both during this time!

  3. Tess and John, as my heart is broken for you two, I am happy that your sweet baby girl is free from all of the machines and the pain that she has endured during her short little life here on earth. She is now is the arms of her heavenly father, who will hold her close and protect her until you see her again. I pray that you all will allow God to hold onto you during this painful time in your life. Please know that those in my bible study group are continuing to pray that God will comfort you and ease your pain in the days, months and years to come. I am sending you lots of love and big hugs during this time of grief. I pray that you not only hold onto to God through all of this but hold onto to each other.
God Bless you and your family!

  5. Tess and John, we weep with you over Hope’s passing, though I know our tears can’t take away your pain. Hope was yours since before time began. She is written on your heart, and you on hers. Always.

  9. Tess, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t begin to imagine how difficult this time must be for you and John. While I did not have chance to meet Hope, just seeing her pictures and hearing about how sweet, beautiful and strong she was fills my heart with love and hope. I wish for you strength and that you always live with the memories of such a beautiful child; for your loved ones stay with you forever.
